Compliance Committee
Purpose
To allow Sun City residents a chance to be heard before a committee of their peers regarding any violations which they are facing (80% of all such meetings result in a satisfactory conclusion with no other action needed).
Responsibilities
The Compliance Committee is responsible for the following:
- Compliance with existing deed restrictions and clarifications,
- Investigating requests for a variation from such restrictions and recommendations to the Board of Directors,
- Monitoring compliance with senior overlay requirements of federal, state and county authorities,
- Keeping the association apprised of changes in federal, state, and county statutes and ordinances effecting maintenance of Sun City standards,
- Recommends new clarifications to the deed restrictions and/or amendments to existing clarifications,
- Receiving and analyzing monthly reports regarding deed restrictions and enforcement activities, and
- Recommending cases to the Board of Directors that require appropriate legal action.
Meeting Time/Location
The Compliance Committee meets in the SCHOA building on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 am.
