The Sun City Home Owners
Association has most plot plans on file for almost all homes, except for
some within Units One (1) through Five (5) in Phase 1 and some of the
newer condominiums. Maricopa County requires copies of the Plot Plan
when applying for a Building Permit or for a Flood Control Permit for
block fences.Effective
July 1, 2003, the Sun City Home Owners Association (SCHOA), began a new
policy when issuing copies of plot plans. As many residents have learned,
a plot plan is required by Maricopa County for all Building Permits and
Flood Control Permits for fences.
Current members of the SCHOA will be
able to obtain a copy of their plot plan, if available, at no cost.
Residents requesting a plot plan
that are not current members of the SCHOA will receive a free one-year
membership in the SCHOA for a $12 fee for a copy of their plot plan.
Contractors requesting plot plans
for customers should be aware of this new policy in order to add that
'potential' amount into the cost of doing business.
In cases where we do not have the original,
Maricopa County officials will tell you what to do when you call at
623-875-1361; use extension 201 for Building Permits and extension 202 for
Flood Control (Fences).
