The Governmental Affairs Committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 am in the SCHOA building.  Sam Baldwin is chairman of the committee (alternates with PORA).

SCHOA members are invited to attend these meetings and discuss any governmental affairs issues.

During winter when the Legislature is in session, this committee reviews daily reports on activities at the Capitol, and recommends to the Board either to support or oppose bills that affect Sun City.  Throughout the year the committee reviews proposed new county ordinances and amendments to existing ones, appearing before the County Board of Supervisors when needed to plead Sun City’s case.
