Sun City Home Owners Association (SCHOA)- Benefits of becoming a member

1. Our compliance officers are processing an unprecedented number of complaints for violations of our Deed Restrictions. (C.C.&R.’s) i.e. messy yards, RV parking, barking dogs, etc. By doing so, they are maintaining property values and keeping the community looking great.

2. The data base of vendors available for members use only is updated daily, and all new vendors are required to provide references, which are thoroughly checked. Staff encourages all members who use vendor referrals to report back their satisfaction/dissatisfaction so that the database can reflect member evaluations.

3. Many vendors offer an automatic 5% discount on their labor for those who have offer proof of SCHOA membership.

4. As a SCHOA member you will be eligible to vote for officers, and to participate in other special SCHOA events.

5. Our Executive Director, Shirley Baker, can witness and notarize important legal documents. This service is done without charge to SCHOA members.

6. New maps of Sun City are published yearly. Our staff proofs the copy for accuracy before publication, and in return a large quantity is given SCHOA for distribution to our membership on request.

7. SCHOA works closely with Maricopa County to provide information to the Sheriff’s Department, MCDOT, Planning & Zoning, County Health and other county agencies that provide services to residents of Sun City.

8. Members of SCHOA can obtain copies of their plot plan without charge, from those we have available. Non-members pay $12 for the same service. Copies of plot plans are required for most building permits.

9. SCHOA assists in producing one of the most interesting phone books you will receive. The Sun City Directory contains residents home towns and occupations.

10. By belonging to SCHOA, you are becoming an active participant in continuing the traditions that made Sun City special...ownership, involvement and commitment.
